RICK

CO-Founder, Operator & Visionary Pura Pickleball & SÖWA Wellness + Performance Project

Rick Brennan is the creator and operator behind Pura Pickleball and the rapidly expanding SÖWA Wellness & Performance Project — a next-generation destination where sport, recovery, mindfulness, and community come together in the heart of Costa Rica.
His work is driven by a simple philosophy: when people are given the right environment — one that nurtures the body, calms the mind, and strengthens the spirit — they transform.

Rick is also a Neurodiverse Leadership Expert, Author, Podcaster, Business Coach, and Speaker whose mission is to make performance, wellness, and personal growth more accessible to everyone.

Before building Pura Pickleball and SÖWA, Rick spent over 40 years as a senior executive in the pharmaceutical and health industries. Most recently, he led a $4 billion division for a Fortune 5 company, overseeing more than 2,500 pharmacies and thousands of employees. Throughout his career, he focused on empowering people, simplifying complex systems, and building environments where individuals could thrive — the same principles that now shape SÖWA.

At Pura Pickleball, Rick created one of Costa Rica’s most active social and athletic communities. Through retreats, coaching, and local empowerment programs, he has helped position Jacó as a growing hub for wellness tourism and community-driven sport.
The evolution of Pura into SÖWA reflects Rick’s broader vision:to build a place where modern travelers, athletes, and professionals can play, heal, grow, and reconnect with what matters — all in one beautiful, intentional, wellness-centered environment.

Outside of business, Rick has coached seven state/provincial championship teams across two sports, earning five consecutive Atlantic titles — a testament to his lifelong passion for performance, leadership, and human development.

KENDALL

CO-FOUNDER OF SOWA Wellness + Performance Project | CEO & Founder, Portfolio Token | Real Estate Developer | Blockchain Innovator | Visionary in Tokenized Assets

Kendall Pecou Fuentes is a Costa Rican entrepreneur and visionary leader at the intersection of real estate development and blockchain technology. With more than 18 years of experience spanning architecture, construction management, and large-scale property development, Kendall now leads the evolution of tokenized real-world assets (RWA) through Portfolio Token, a blockchain-based ecosystem he founded in 2020.

As CEO of Portfolio Token, Kendall pioneered Carrara One, the first tokenized luxury hospitality project in Costa Rica, built on the Polygon blockchain and backed by tangible real estate assets. His mission is to democratize access to high-quality investment opportunities by combining traditional real estate with decentralized finance (DeFi) — bringing liquidity, transparency, and innovation to a historically static market.

Before launching Portfolio Token, Kendall held senior roles in multiple development firms, including Jaco Developers, Rich Coast Developers, and BPEC Electromechanical, where he directed the design and construction of some of Jacó’s most iconic residential and commercial projects, such as Sunset Boulevard, Foresta Residences, and La Central Building. His work has consistently blended creativity, technical precision, and forward-thinking strategy.

Kendall holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Costa Rica and is fluent in both Spanish and English. A former member of the Costa Rica National Swim Team and National Water Polo Team, he brings the same discipline, drive, and teamwork from his athletic background into every project he leads.

Today, Kendall continues to push the boundaries of how real-world assets are developed, financed, and experienced — building a bridge between the physical and digital economies to create a more inclusive, transparen future for real estate investment.t, and sustainable.
